The CIF High School Football final between Pacifica and Cypress (Cypress 36-30). This was by far the toughest lost Pacifica faced on the year, not just because it was the finals, but because of the close battle between two very talented teams. After the heartbreak of an ending, Head Coach Guy Gardner pointed out to his boys that the loss hurts more when its such a close battle — like that game was. At the end of the day, anyone at the game knows that the Mariners displayed a ton of heart, passion for the game, and walk away CHAMPIONS.
