Last week, I had the pleasure of joining the SoCal Photogshootout as the videographer for the day. Photog Shootout consists of a variety of adventures to get photographers away from their computers and hang out with other photogs…. a great excuse to get away from the computer during the week!

It was a beautiful day out, perfect weather…and how can you go wrong in San Juan Capistrano. The day started by meeting for happy hour at Sarducci’s. I start off being surrounded by 50+ people…. both amateur photographers and pros, models and makeup artists, and special guests Jasmine Star and Michael and Anna Costa, who donated their time, knowledge, and passion for photography with all of us. For the next couple hours, there were groups and rotation stations…reminded me of softball practice! The leaders were, Hanssie Trainor, Matt Saville, Michelle Cunningham, Kristin Rogers and overlooked by Rob Nicholson, Humbled Eyes Photography. This was the fun part and mainly the part where I was able to capture the most footage of the event. Next followed an amazing dinner at Sarducci’s, and a little night photography - or continued happy hour - I won’t say what I chose!
